      The Local Government Unit of Maragondon conducted one day Local Recruitment Activity on September 16, 2013 at the Municipal Covered Court. Genpact and Best One Human Resources Services from Alabang Muntinlupa provided new job opportunities to 185 Maragondonians. Among those who were hired get the position of production worker, sewer and call center agents. The Local Recruitment Activity has been a successful one with the help of PESO Manager Marivic S. Contrano.

      True to his words, Hon. Mayor Rey A. Rillo is persistently seeking for more job opportunities in line with LGU’s thrust in uplifting the lives of Maragondonians. In his message, he stressed out the importance of having job fairs to lessen the unemployment rate in Maragondon. He also convinced each applicant to be productive and responsible.

      We are expecting for more Local Recruitment Activity in our town would surely give hope to our jobless constituents.

 

Support in Agriculture

An opening ceremony of Farmer Field School in Organic Agriculture was held at Terra Verde Eco Farm and Resort in Pantihan 2 on September 5. This is in coordination with DA RFU IV-A and Agriskwela Institute of the Philippines. Terra Verde Eco Farm is a model farm owned by Emerson B. Atanacio, President and CEO of National College of Science and Technology-Institute of Industrial Research and Traning(NCST-IIRT).

Mayor Rey A. Rillo attended the event together with the “magsasakang mag-aaral” who will undergo series of training in organic farming. He stressed on his message the willingness of the LGU in supporting the different reforms in our agriculture sector.
